We have usernames in mas500 that allow us to login manually and through windows authentication.  The problem is we don't know how this was setup.  When we try to create a new name it does not allow windows authentication.

In the tsmuser table these users are setup as straight MAS500 users and not as Windows users.

I realize that user names are supposed to be one or the other but in the case of these particular users it works both ways.

Any ideas?  I've already spoken with several MAS500 and SQL people but we can't figure it out.

Anyone ever run into this?

We figured out the issue.  First orf all what we were trying to do is not possible.  It turns out that the previously setup SQL logins were part of a group that had full admin rights to SQL which allowed them to have mas500 access even when windows authenticated.  Unfortunately creates a bit of a security issue so is probably not a good idea.
