It seems that MAS does not allow posting negative cash.  We did a credit memo in MAS and refunded the customer.  However, we cannot post the refund as we cannot enter a negative amount in the payment field.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Towards the end of the thread are step by step instructions for performing a refund.

Refunds will be part of AR in 7.4 due out Q2 2011. It will include Credit Card refunds (available in 7.3), cash refunds, and check refunds with the refund check being printed from AR.
