I'd like to have a particular report run automatically at a scheduled time. Can you point me in the direction to start with this. This is a standard MAS Crystal report. Any help will be appreciated!

You may also want to check out Crystal Reports Underground website. All sorts of Crystal information and similar report scheduler tools are compared.

One important thing to keep in mind, that there are reports that requires MAS to populate temp or work tables. For example, the "AR\Insights\Report\Sales Activity" report aka ARZRI001.RPT does not return anything if you run it from Crystal Reports.
So, if you need to schedule run a report that requires MAS500 fron end then you need a scheduler that can communicate MAS.

Just as an FYI in case anyone is not aware, the Sage MAS Intelligence Module that was released last year also provides the ability to schedule reports and to have them automatically emailed. I am still waiting for a couple of bugs to be fixed before I install it, but I do plan to make use of the scheduling funcionality once I have it up and running.

jguthridge,
Another option to consider is KnowledgeSync Vineyardsoft. KnowledgeSync can deliver scheduled reports via email as well as triggered alerts to email, pager, text message, or fax. Alerts can also be triggered to run other processes against the triggered alert data. There are many options available and it has a very intuitive interface so you don't have to be a SQL Expert to set up alerts and schedule reports.
I don't know how affordable the other comparable solutions are but I do know KnowledgeSync is a very affordable solution and is flexible and comes with many pre-developed alerts for different ERP and CRM packages.
Just my 2 cents... ![]()

Ralph,
Sounds promising. Do you know if MAS Intelligence Module can be set up to run those report only on weekdays? Can it use reports that are not on the menu or have not been added to MAS? Does MAS Intelligance need a email box on the machine it runs or it can use SMTP?
Thanks!
