I agree.  Not sure why an email wouldn't be sent to resellers with download instructions, but based on the inconsistent responses in regards to aquiring the software and the vague announced release date(s), it would seem that there are a few hiccups with 4.50.

a 4-6 week delay on getting product to resellers makes ABSOLUTELY no sense when all we get is a link to download. Hardly a logistical bottleneck!

Sending an email with the link to partners seems FAR more efficient and effective. Irvine seems to be running several years behind other vendors (even other Sage divisions) in its upgrade fulfillment practices.

I agree on the comments regarding the delay sending it out to us resellers.  It has been very embarrasing to get calls from my customers who have received their letters and tell them I haven't received my letter/download yet.

^^^ This. My clients got letters dated 10/20/11 with version 4.5 news. I felt pretty stupid telling them we couldn't upgrade because I still haven't received the software yet. I blamed SAGE though.

Thank you for all you comments. We will definitely improve the process for the next release and get you the download information in advance of the customers.
