not asking to update registers

I have a user that is entering AP, but once done printing registers, it does not ask her to "update invoice register". She also tried to void a check and it also wouldn't allow her to update registers. I'm sure it's a setting I'm missing, but I can't find it. Anyone have any idea? Thanks for any help provided.

Does the user have security rights to update the registers?

Or maybe the prompt is appearing behind other windows on her computer or down on the Windows taskbar.

My guess is that you've set Role Maintenance | Security Events to disallow updating from the preview. She's probably printing from Preview instead of printing directly to printer.

thanks for the replies.. bottomline. I am not sure where to set that security by user, when I go to user maintenance there aren't many options (user/group, supervisor, locked etc.) maybe I'm not looking in the right place? Sorry first time setting up a new user.
zip - prompt is definitely not appearing behind a window, i checked.
giving - I personally always print preview and it lets me update, so she did as well, but I did have her print to printer just to confirm and still nothing.

Also, since I didn't mention, we are on mas90 3.71, ooold version.

In 3.71 there is no role maintenance, instead you would give supervisor rights to the module. Scary, but in that old version that's the only way to update from preview.
