obnoxious forum thing...

What i like to do is open up one of the forum categories (installation, core modules, whatever) and then i middle click them (opens in new tab in firefox)

This is the only site ever, (and i browse like that everywhere, for years) that does this:

When i middle click on a link, or right click, it immediately opens it.   It should not do that.  it should only open a new tab.  So, what happens is I get my new tab, but i also have the current tab go to what i clicked on.   Should not happen that way.

Basically i like to open a category, and open new tabs for any discussions that look interesting.  I want to keep the main tab on the list of subjects, and open each subject that looks interesting to me in a new tab.   I don't get why my current tab switches whether i left, right, or middle click on it.    So i end up  having to backspace/back button after each click..  weird.

This has always happened with this site, through 2 different login names and 4-5 computers.   IE does the same thing, and I don't like chrome so i haven't tried.

Interesting.  But it does not work that way for me.  The new tab opens, and the original tab stays put.  I don't recall it ever doing anything different.  I am currently browsing with Firefox 3.6.10 on an XP machine.

Re: obnoxious forum thing...

I experience the same thing on the right clicks.  It is a bit of a pain.

Also, if I try to quote a previous post, I get a new tab and the current tab changes.
