I am test generating an ACH file (NACHA format) from Mas90 4.4. When I upload to my bank, it errors out stating the trace number has invalid non-numeric values. They are spaces. Is it possible to increase the amount of zeroes in this field as currently there are only 6 spaces and I used 00001 as the beginning number. It appears my bank wants a 14 digit number (padded with zeroes). Anybody have any experience with this?

Trace number??? Have not heard that terminology used in connection with a NACHA file before.
What position in the file are you referring to? Would assume that it is in the header info (first two lines of the NACHA file).
Looking at the file, I can't see anything/anyplace where something of that nature might fit in.

It is the control check number used for the ACH that is having the problem. It is postion 80 to 94.

The blank spaces are where the bank routing number goes! The remainder is the increment line # for the records in the file.
In the direct deposit interface setup for the bank code in question. Tab 1.
In the routing transit numbers section, you have left one of the boxes blank. Not sure whether it is the immediate destination, immediate origin or the originating DFI. Fill them in until you get what you want.

ok Thanks for that info. I am getting closer. Why does my debit record offset the name and routing number by two spaces? It is starting at column 55 and it is messing up sending the dr record correctly. If i remove the two spaces it imports correctly.
