We have a 100 user system and I have implemented a AutoLog Off for 20 mins. The problem is that I still have the system kicking people in the middle of Entry, So I have extended the time to 90 mins. My question is - is there still a problem in 4.3 about the AutoLog Off?

Are you workstation names similar?

I believe I recall a problem where similar workstation names would logoff if another workstation was idle.

All have unique names

I thought auto logoff only kicked people off the system if they were only in the Launcher (no open programs).  Try upgrading to SU 18.

Are the same people getting kicked off?

Somewhat Off-Topic.  But when we first implemented MAS90 (4.1) I was told that Auto-Logoff was just a bad idea.  Has it gotten better?  From what I read it should not log people off if they have an entry window open?  Only logoff when sitting at the launcher?

I would really like to implement this because we have so few licenses for so many users, but I have always stayed away because I thought it didn't work properly.

Upgrading may work - I will have to consult Reseller - since we have so many mods. For now I have extended the autologoff  to 90 mins and have rdeactivated the autolog off from our sales Entry staff all around the country.

Doesn't hurt to try.  It is only supposed to log off users that do not have any programs open.

Sorry for the continued threadjack...

I tested this morning on MAS90 4.4.0.2 and a 20 minute auto log off seems to want to log off no matter what you are doing (assuming you have been inactive for 20 minutes).

IM Open -> Logoff

SO Entry Open -> Logoff

PO Entry Open -> Logoff

Launcher Only -> Logoff (This should be the only time it logs a user off)

Guess it still doesn't work.
