Whoever set up our MAS 200 reports set up the Income Statement so that Gross profit falls immediately after the Total Revenue. I need to move it below COGS and to subtract costs from Revenue so that it provides an accurate Gross Profit reporting figure.
Anyone know how to manipulate a MAS 200 financial report?

Anyone? I know it's got something to do with the Crystal Reports that feed MAS but I don't know where to locate the specific report or how to change it without damaging the other reports.

Are you sure it's really the Crystal Report and not how the GL structure was setup?

Hmmm, no I am not sure. Where would I go in MAS to find out?

I would start by looking in the General Ledger --> Setup menu under "Account Groups". See if they are organized correctly. Then look through Main Account Maintenance and how your accounts are assigned to groups.

That isn't what seems to be the issue. The issue is that the Gross Profit line is not listed beneath Cost of Goods Sold on the financial report and it is not calculating the Revenue less COGS.

There are at least three different ways to print a financial statement in MAS 90/200.
Standard finanical statements in the Report Menu.
Custom Financial Statements.
FRX.
The first is controlled by the account groups.
The second two are controlled by the design typed in by the user.
Which are you referring to?

It's a standard income statement that has been modified to show actual, budget, variance, and variance %.

If you are using Financial Reports under the Reports menu then Dawn's comments about Account Group Maintenance are right on target.
That is what influences the order. If they aren't in the correct order there, then they will not be in the correct order on the printed statement.

I reviewed the account groups and they are set up correctly. There is only one account type available for Revenue which is Net Revenue. This is fine because it correctly takes Gross Saless and subtracts Sales Discounts & Returns.
However, on our Income Statement, Gross Profit is being listed before Cost of Sales, which is incorrect. Gross Profit is Net Revenue less Cost of Sales.
I need Gross profit to appear in the correct location on the Income Statement. After Cost of Sales.
Any ideas?
