We are new to using Payroll module......during Payroll data entry, we realized that we need to enter hours for an employee we thought was terminated last week. We are getting the message that we can't change status during payroll data entry. How is the best way to get his hours into this payroll run? Do we have to delete everything entered so far, reactivate him and then reenter the payroll?????

I would change his status in employee maintenance, then see if you can enter the hours before blowing away everything you have done.

You can't change the Employee Status while payroll data entry is in progress, which I think is really silly.
Instead of deleting everthing and starting over, why not just do a second payroll after finishing this one with only this one employee after reactivating him?

Hi. What version of Mas 200 are you using?
I am on 4.3. In Payroll Setup, under Payroll options on the Additional Tab is a check box "Reactivate Employees During Data Entry" Check that, and then enter a password under Reactivate Employee Password.
Doing this will allow you to reactivate your termed employee through data entry. The password will prevent a clerical user from doing this, thus preventing potential fraud if there is a seperation of H/R vs. Payroll.
Thank you,
ChaZ
