Hi all.

We have MAS v4.05.

We created a new company (B11) and we copied all the data from the source company (A11) into it.

We have a backup of company A11 from last week which want to restore only the payroll module into B11. How can we do this?

This used to be easy, but now it's a PIA.

First, you need to create a third company.

Do a copy from A11 to this third company of Payroll (which will also copy GL and Common Information).

Now do a copy from B11 to this third company of GL and Common Information.

So in the third company you have B11's current GL and CI, and A11's payroll

Now copy from the third company to B11 of Payroll, GL, and CI.  You should only be bringing in A11's Payroll at this point - you are just copying B11's GL and CI over itself.

Ah, the good old days when GL didn't feel the need to tag along everywhere...
