Will MAS Intelligence be able to convert existing FRx reports?  Or will we have to redesign them all from scratch?

That's the question I keep getting asked!   Will FRx reports be converted?  Sage - any help would be appreciated!  I could see some of my clients becoming an early adopter if they were.  Otherwise, they will not rush into it.

Thanks Maureen.  One of my clients is a very late adopter -- they were finally about to start replicating all of their custom GL reports in FRx.  I'm trying to figure out whether to tell them to wait for MAS intelligence or to go ahead with FRx.  I hate to delay them, especially since I started encouraging them to move to FRx YEARS ago.  Now I'm not sure what to advise them.  Erica, can you provide some info?  Or Dawn, do you know?

If you haven't started with FRx yet -- I would hold off and wait for Sage Intelligence.

If you already have customers on FRx, I believe there is talk about a conversion tool, but nothing has been finalized yet.

The question everyone keeps asking is "Will FRx reports be able to be converted into Sage MAS Intelligence?" or the alternative, "Is there a migration tool for reports?"  The answer is this:

At present there is not a conversion or migration tool to move FRx reports to SMI.  In order for us to create such a tool, there are some contractual things that need to be worked out. If we are successful in our contract negotiations, we will be able to work on a migration tool and make it available sometime in the future.  If and when we are able to create such a tool, we will announce it.  But for now, the answer is, no, we don't have a tool for this. 

So, for WKcpa's client that is just going to get started creating reports, I think Dawn's answer is correct. Have them wait and just start with SMI rather than doing the work twice.  For other customers, there is no urgent need to race out and re-create all of your complex reports in SMI now; this can be done gradually over time. 

Sage will be making SMI available via download  to all of our Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 customers within the next few weeks. This will give customers and partners years to get reports moved over before FRx support will be ended.  Sage is relaseing the product now to ensure our channel and customers can learn and adopt it at their own pace and give you all the opportunity to use it, not only for financial reporting, but to also for a financial dashboard and other operational reports. There is much more to SMI than just financial reporting. Look for the new board in this community forum coming soon that will be exculsively dedicated to SMI.
