State Of Oregon Local WBF Tax Setup Issue

Has anyone had success with setting up the local Oregon Tax - WBF (Employer Paid)?  My customer said that they pay a per hour rate not a percentage of wages.  Sage support stated that the tax tables only support percentage calculations.  If you have experience, please share the work around and possibly the tax calc steps

In Washington, which has a similar per-hour setup, I use "Workers' Compensation".

Re: State Of Oregon Local WBF Tax Setup Issue

We have a deduction code set up as a standard deduction, based on reg hrs worked, rate .014 and this seems to be working. It deducts from the employee against every earning code that is set up as "regular".

The employer contribution however is causing me problems because its set up in Workers Comp. The WBF in workers comp is set to calculate on hours worked but it is also calculates against vacation, sick etc. even though those earning codes don't have the box checked 'subject to workers comp"?

Unless I can figure out why the wbf workers comp is calculating on to many earning codes I was going to try and set up another deduction code as employer contribution for the type, calc method reg hrs worked.

I know its been a few months since you posted this question, have you found a better way to do this?

Upgrade to 4.5.

The new deduction code methods can handle this properly without lieing about the true nature of earnings code.

After a quick re-read I note that you are saying that the employer's portion (not the deduction) is causing problems.  I've used this for ages and simply clear the "subject to W/C" box as you indicate you have and it works like a charm so I'm not sure why it would not be working for you.

Re: State Of Oregon Local WBF Tax Setup Issue

Upon further review I've found that the employers portion is actually having a problem on a department level. Some departments are calculating correctly, just on hours worked, while other departments are calculating on all hours.
