We have to renumber 70% of our chart of accounts and I was in the Change GL number feature but it appears all these hundreds of new numbers have to be set up first (in Main Account maintenance) before the old numbers can be changed into the new numbers?  Does it have to be a two step process?  We have three companies and are trying to get this accomplished as efficiently as possible.

Apparently, it does.  Use VI to set up the main account number.  Much faster.

Make sure the other segment codes also exist or that my stymie your efforts also.
