CRM Add Contact button missing in Outlook 2003

When using EES 1.3/CRM 6.2 via Terminal Services, the CRM "Add Contact" button missing in Outlook 2003.  The Sync button is missing too.

Any suggestions on where to look for it???

Thanks!

Re: CRM Add Contact button missing in Outlook 2003

We are dealing with the same issue.  We are CRM and MAS certified, so we've been all over the KB looking for this ... it is just not there.

Tech support solved the problem on one machine yesterday. Turns out it is likely caused by a problem during the download/insallation of the Integration plugin.  Completely uninstalling and then reinstalling the plugin worked for us.  PLEASE call MAS tech support to get help too. They need to hear how WEAK this is.  The solution should also be in KB for EES ... but it's not. (I tried ot paste the instructions here, but Lithium keeps complaing about the "html code" it has in it -- there isnt any ... sigh --!)

Good Luck!

Re: CRM Add Contact button missing in Outlook 2003

Actually post is about individual workstations. Might apply to TS too.

However, Outlook integration on TS is a very tricky thing, and it might not be supported with SageCRM.

You might be forced to tell the client that this is available only when users access CRM via web from their machines.

Of course, then they can't make quotes or even opps with $$$ in them. (Irvine, what were you thinking!!!).  I think some of this is addressed in EES v2.0 due out this summer ... but we'll see.

Re: CRM Add Contact button missing in Outlook 2003

Un-installing and reinstalling the Plug-In did solve the issue, thanks.

We are the end user....and while there are tons of great features in CRM there are some crazy deficencies.  My personal favorite is that CRM only saves the email as it was written before you hit the Send using Outlook button.   Any edits or tweaks after that are only in your Outlook Sent Items folder.  (Sage is aware, BTW).  That could make for a whole bundle of trouble!   TS is support, it's the only way we would have made the purchase.
