Lou,
So this wasn't a linking issue between the preview and the main view? You just don't even see the preview list at all?

Hey Tim.. That is correct. The utility shows the linked view in the preview menu, but in the BIE viewer itself, it doesn't show.. Even deleting and trying to recreate the BIE and menu option manually results in the same issue. Very weird to say the least. My theory is something is incorrect in the database and deleting the BIE doesn't clean this up. What ever it is, it doesn't impact the utility showing the preview menu option or creating a script that includes it. However, the BIE viewer for some strange reason doesn't see it.

In order to see the Preview within BIE the Preview must have a default setting in tsmDataviewSetting.

Thanks Bob.. After the customer upgraded, the issue went away on its own. I guess there was an issue with their test database they were using that caused the issue. A nice utility for the SDK at least would be a task that creates a SQL script you could use to deploy custom BIEs such as this. I think I'll add that to the enhancement site and see how many others might be interested in such a tool.
