Which security option in 4.40 allows access to alternate item maintenance?  I've searched through role maintenance, help and my role report and I can't find any reference to it.

I believe that you need to have 'Create' rights under Role Maintenance: Tasks/ Inventory Management/ Item Maintenance/ 'Create' check box selected.

Not the answer I was hoping for, but thanks for the info.  We have several employees who should not be adding inventory items to the system, but who do need the ability to enter alternate items (i.e. our tech support dept).

You can give them create rights, but then lock down the main item maintenance screen using Custom Office.
