BOM Production Entry Register Not Completing

I completed an entry for a BOM entry and ran the Production Entry Register.  My production entry registers printed and during the update somewhere, the process locked up.  Now the problem is the module thinks it still needs to finish, which it very well may need to.  When I go to open the Production Entry window or the Production Entry Register I get a window that says "Update interrupted.  Do you want to restart?"  I have restarted with not luck, it continues to process for hours & hours.  I have not ran any data file maintence tasks yet.  I have gone into the inventory module and all the inventory transactions associated with this BOM have taken place as well as the correct GL accounts being posted.  So it appears that everything took place that should have, although the BOM module thinks things are not done yet.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: BOM Production Entry Register Not Completing

First I would suggest contacting your reseller and/or Sage Tech Support.  A warning first, don't try this at home boys and girls, I'll a professional at this.  Go into the Resources on the MAS menu and then File Layout and Program Information and then Cross Reference Information. Find the Bill of Materials Production Entry.  This will detail all the files updated in the process. Go through each file marked with a "W" for write and see if the data is there. I would start at the end and work backwards.  As the system is writing to a file it places a marker [] in the first record so it knows where it left off. If this marker is present in one of the files the system thinks the update has been interrupted and tries to start from that point on.  If you feel that all files have been correctly written to then you would need to start at the last file and use DFDM to find the file with the [] record and delete it.  I would also check the production entry files to see if there is data in them.  Note that this is not for the untrained or faint of heart. Make sure you have a COMPLETE and verified backup before starting. Do this after hours when no one is in the system.
