Back Button in EBM

[ Edited ]

I'm having trouble with the back button in e-business manager. We're on version 4.30.

In IE7, when I hit the back button from anywhere in EBM, I get an error message saying the "Webpage has expired".

In IE6, I get the error "The page cannot be displayed".

In Firefox 3, I get a dialog box with the message "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier." and the option to resend or cancel.  When I select resend, I'm able to go to the previous page.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there a way to fix it?

Thanks,

Justin

Re: Back Button in EBM

Because the pages are generated dynamically, I believe using the bank button disrupts the natural code flow in EBM.

Justin,

I get the same thing.  Sometimes the back button works, sometimes not.  Oh well...

Re: Back Button in EBM

If you are trying to go back on an HTTPS/Secured page you will get this message because the secured content is not cached - nor should it be.  On other pages you get this because of the dynamic nature of the eBM templates.  When you hit the refresh button on non-HTTPS pages do you see the page?

Re: Back Button in EBM

agoldsmith99,

Actually, I don't get the error at all when I access ebm through a non-HTTPS connection (in both IE7 and Firefox).  It works just like it should.  The problem is that everyone uses my ebm site through a secure connection.

 Steve,

That's odd.  My back button never works (unless I'm using a non-secure connection as I mentioned above).

Dawn,

I thought that might have been the case.  I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
