Anyone did this CPU renumbering check to correct CPU issue before? One big supplier's CEO told me this is the way to fix the UPC issue and you only need to pay some fees to have your EDI or on line trading partners to use the new CPU codes.

Joy, not sure but I don't think anyone knows what "this" CPU renumbering check means. I know I don't have a clue in the context you are referring to.
You might want to try explaining more specifically what "this" is.

Ok. If your trading partners accept you to assign new number for the item UPC then you can correct the mistake for "Renumbering Check". But, in the real world, you have to PAY them (not cheap or you will be happy to pay that amount) to get approval and they usually refuse to do whatever you want for the existing UPC number.
I have to use other method to provide correct item sales and group different UPCs for same Item or same UPC to multiple items in Crystal report that is what I can think of now. Any better way?

Uhh ... Joy?
Possibly in all your references to CPU, do you mean UPC?
Even then I'm not sure I follow where you are going with this.

So, I gather you are speaking of Universal Product Code (UPC) ?

This is my take on what I think you want.
You may have multiple UPCs for the same product (possibly because you changed the UPC code?). You actually have set up different item codes in MAS using the different UPC codes even though its really all the same thing. You want to be able to do a crystal report to group all of the different item codes together as if they were one.
For future sales you might simply be able to set up an alias for the new UPC codes and then the system will translate it to the original MAS 90 item code.
For past items, you might be able to set up a UDF that has a common code and then tell crystal to group by the common code as opposed to the item code. For example:
MAS 90 Item Code UDF-common code
ABCV1 ABC
ABCV2 ABC
DEFV1 DEF
DEFV2 DEF

Tom,
I had same idea like yours, I will use one field that did not use in the inventory to group different items together from Crystal for Purchasing and Analysis reports. Thanks.
