In 4.40.0.2, I have our shippers setup with permission to Allow Credit Limit Override. However, they are not receving a warning that the order is over credit limit. Should they be?
Our process in 3.71 was that shippers would get the over credit limit warning, contact A/R, and A/R would give them the go ahead to ship or tell them to hold the order. If released by A/R, the shipper would enter the password and process the shipment. We really have no need for our A/R person to have to walk to the warehouse to enter an override.
To further complicate the issue, one of my shippers works part time in customer service, so she needs the ability to override credit limits when entering sales orders. Short of:
A. changing our procedures and putting all over credit limit orders on hold, or
B. setting up a dummy user account for shippers to use to override and making my shipper/customer service person use separate logins depending on where she's working
What are my options?

If the user has permissions, they are allowed to override the credit limit. If not, the user cannot contine.
At least this is how I believe it is designed to work.

I expected the same thing...if they have permissions they can override, however, with permissions, they do not receive a warning during Shipping Data Entry that the customer is over credit limit (unless I'm missing something). This means we have orders going out that haven't been approved by A/R. Ideally, I would like them to get the credit limit exceeded warning and just be able to say OK to continue after they call A/R for approval. Is there a way to do this in 4.40?

If you get the credit limit exceeded warning in sales order entry but not shipping data entry, please contact Sage customer support as it may have something to do with how the credit limit checking is setup.
