EBM 4.05 Incompatible with Internet Explorer 8

[ Edited ]

this appears to be the case.....the Compatibility View feature in IE8 is no help. I think as more users migrate to this browser we are in for trouble unless this is addressed.

Is upgrading to 4.30 out of the question for these users?  I haven't tested an EBM site in 4.30 in IE8.

Re: EBM 4.05 Incompatible with Internet Explorer 8

What specifically happens in IE8 for 4.05?  The base HTML/code in the templates is not significantly different between 4.05 & 4.1 and up.  The field and program names changes in the 4.1 and up versions but the HTML is mostly the same.

Kevin,

Is this www.dtcgrip.com you're having trouble with?  I just tried your site in IE8 on XP and it seems to be working just fine.

thanks one and all...it appears from all of your kind real-world testing that it may in fact be my machine alone that is expereincing this problem (when I try to navigate past the initial page in the store I get an http 400 error) - I will let you all know what I discover....I'm considering the old Irish persuader (aka ball-peen hammer)

Re: EBM 4.05 Incompatible with Internet Explorer 8

Any chance you have Google Analytics or some other script messing about with Cookies on your same domain as your EBM store?

I had an issue with error 400 on SOME workstations until I removed my Google Analytics code from the front of my website.   Wasn't even within the EBM pages... just picking up the cookie on page one caused issues with EBM.
