Can anyone confirm that the size of the long descriptions was reduced between 4.05 and 4.30?  Most of my long descriptions had html code that is no longer working.

I would like to put in my vote to have this field expanded, at least 2x the current size.  Even the old limit in 4.05 created some problems and required me to compromise what I wanted to display.

In 4.05 the ITQ file was able to hold 49,950 characters.

In 4.30 the file is IT_Item is able to hold 4,096 characters.

Sage people:  Is there any change of getting this changed back (QUICKLY)?????

Alternatively,  a couple of my screens seem to be still functioning until I edit the category.  Can I load more than 4096 characters with a VI import?

The category long description is also 4,096 characters.

All you need do is get a Master Developer to change the size of the field for you.  (The new Business Framework handles everything else.)  I changed it to 16383 (one less than 16K) and had no issues.
