I was testing the parallel migration tool in MAS90 4.40 and I kept getting an error regarding the inventory. It turns out that if you try to convert a comapny without an inventory item it just dies. I had a company that uses sales order but not inventory and had to create a single inventory item in order to get the conversion to work.
Unlike 4.3, when 4.4 Sales Order is installed without Inventory, the default is to integrate with Inventory. You need to turn off the integration in DFDM. If you install ABC company, you also need to rename unused data folders.
