I have my parts set up as AVG costing....I am using price codes that are cost plus....the calculation does NOT use my avg cost. It uses LAST COST.... does anyone know how to make this work? IF i am using avg cost wouldnt make logical sense that any calculations using cost should come from the costing method I am using.....IS anyone at sage thinking??
Just a thought

Cost markup % and cost markup $ go based on standard cost no matter what your valuation is.

how silly is that .... standard cost is something that must be MANUALLY entered.....if i have 3000 parts and my cost changes constantly i need to manually check and adjust this cost....again i say is anyone at SAGE THINKING?? additioanlly it appears that if standard cost is not filled out it then defaults to last cost.....again how silly is this.........somebody sure is NOT thinking at sage.

You can run imports to set your standard cost equal to another value such as average cost, on a periodic basis (e.g. once per day, twice per day, etc.) using Visual Integrator.
You can submit an enhancement request using the link in my signature.

Visual Integrator is your friend. Have your reseller help you setup an import job for this.
Don't own VI? Purchase it, it will pay for itself in a couple months with the time you will save from not having to manually enter data.

Under Inventory/Utilities there is a program called Automatically Change Price and Cost of Items. This can update the Standard Cost based on Average Cost.
