Importing Avg and Standard Costs for Price Increases

When I import new pricing files only the standard cost is adjusted.  Is there a way to chance that so  both the standard and average costs are updated?

Re: Importing Avg and Standard Costs for Price Increases

You do not want to import into Average Cost as this is a system generated figure. Note that "Pricing" usually refers to what you sell the product for.  Your cost should not be changed if you use Lot, Serial or FIFO.

What version of MAS 90/200?

Assuming you're importing using Visual Integrator, what file are you importing to?  And what fields?

Re: Importing Avg and Standard Costs for Price Increases

It's Mas200 and I'm using Import Master Standard Cost/Standard in the Jobs Menu.    The problem I am having is that the Average cost is being pulled when I am making a purchase order, so I have to over-ride all of the prices.

What cost do you want to use during P/O Entry?  For example, follow this link which explains how to force Standard Cost.

There's also a link here which explains how the item cost hierarchy works in MAS 90/200.

And what version of MAS 200 are you running?

Import Master! Wow that's really old. Very fast but old. What version are you on. You need to read up on the hierarchy of cost in the Help menu.

To determine your version of MAS:

   File > Run:  *info

or

Re: Importing Avg and Standard Costs for Price Increases

3.71 came out almost a decade ago and is no longer supported by Sage.  Ideally you will want to upgrade to a newer version.  Regarding importing, although not recommended, 3.71 did let you import both standard cost and average cost into the system.
