I am trying to get history detail on a misc iteam code.  I can find the totals by month and year in the Misc item Code Maintenance but I really need to find out who we sold these to. Is there any way of doing this?

Auditor is coming next week and could use this info...

I use the report in Sales Orders - Reports - Customer Sales History by Item - tehn in the item types ot print only check the miscellaneous items.

I tried the report it doesn't work, say no data found. That would have been nice if it worked...

DBailey: The SO Customer Sales History by Item should print the total sales and total quantity sold of miscellaneous items (CI Miscellaneous Item Maintenance, Type=Miscellaneous) that are sold in Sales Order.

If the item was sold through Accounts Receivable Invoice Data Entry (Allow Use in AR is selected for the item), the Miscellaneous Item History by Period or Miscellaneous Item Detail Transaction Report (CI menu, Reports) can be used instead.

If you still get 'no data' on the report, check AR Invoice History Inquiry/Report to find out what period to which the sales were posted, and see if maybe the sales were posted to a different period than you expect.

I've never seen an invoice history detail file that did not contain all types of items (standard, comments, misc. items, etc.).

I do at time get that same response - no data selected for printing - this occurs all over sage and is frustrating at times. Just play with your selections in the report - I check the miscellaneous items box and put the "/M" slash M in the item code as contains and I believe that i also just select the qty sold not the cost of goods and the proofs - just a simple list. It should really run for you. I think I may have another report that I run as well - as soon as I can I will review that for you but this one should run.

One downfall of Sage in my opion is the reports - I do not enjoy crystal and the canned reports are so sensitive as to the selections - this is an area to me that Sage must improve on to make it more user friendly.

All of our invoices are done through Sales Order. The Misc Item that I am looking for does have sales in 2008 - 2011 which are the ones we are looking for but for some odd reason it says no data found when I try and run that report.
