When i run the inventory sales analysis report the PTD (period to date) and YTD (year to date) figures are the same, even though they are not actually the same.

I looked up in the knowledgebase and it states that this issue was fixed in version 4.1. We did not run version 4.1 we started out at 4.2. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Are you regularly running Period End in Inventory?

They do not run a period end, they roll the month and run a year end. I completely get it if that is the reason. Is there a way around this for them?

No, once you mess up the data by using incorrect procedures it is unfortunately incorrect.  The best thing to do is adopt proper procedures, and move forward.
