Inventory entry

We have been using Mas 200 for a couple of years and are now beginning to utilize the inventory  module.  I have a question in regards to how the system posts.

we zero or freeze the inventory so we can input the actual quantity of items and we are entering by count sheets -  so what happens if (in the same warehouse) on page 1 item 5515 has a count of 6 and then on page 7 item 5515 has a count of 9.....will both counts be recorded or will it record only the last count?

or

do we have to enter a change quantity of plus or minus to equal our count?

Thanks........

Re: Inventory entry

Do you have multiple warehouses?  I don't understand why the same item would print twice.

Re: Inventory entry

If it's in the same warehouse, do you have a multi-bin enhancement installed?

Re: Inventory entry

As assuming your count sheets were not just the MAS print out - so to answer your question, you have to manually add them together, for now.  In an upcoming Product Update, the Physical Count by Tag will be included and then you can enter them individually and the system will add them together.

Re: Inventory entry

If you have not used inventory in the past and now are and have the multi-bin enhancement I would strongly suggest reviewing best practices with either your reseller or the MD who created the enhancement rather than try to learn by post and reponse. You will learn more and in a shorter period of time.  It has been my experience that multi-bins have a number of "gotchas" and it is best to learn it from the source.
