I am looking at the report this report that I thought would basically give me a need to buy by job. I thought it would take into account what I had in inventory versus what I had on PO and show me either a positive or negative need. I am going through the report but it is showing me a need to buy even though I have PO's outstanding. What am I missing? I am looking for a report that a call a "Needs" report by Job. Is this something custom that I have to build through Crystal Reports? It seems to be a basic mrp function to me.... NEW to MAS...

This report is more of a summary of what is needed. If you run the MRP Report it breaks down by component what is needed for each job and the required date. If you look at the last line for a component you can see that it matches the demand value in the Job report.
Or you can preview the Job report and leave it open, then select the inquiry and enter an item from the report. You can then see the same results (last line in inquiry matches job report demand).
