Hi Forum,
I have a question regarding MRP and sub-assemblies.
When i run MRP for an BOM that has 3 levels, the results only print what's required on the first level only.
How can i make it print with requirements for all levels... i saw a sample MRP report and it is displaying all levels....
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Manuel Roman

Just a thought, in MRP Setup there is a section which says "Integrate MRP with the following", and the box next to Bill of Materials has to be checked, otherwise MRP would not be able to know the BOM detail concerning levels.

OK. A couple more ideas. When you generate the MRP (you have to "generate" it each time you want to see an updated requirement list), there is a button titled "Standard Report" next to the check box that says Print the standard report. If you click on that button, it gives a selection of what types of products and procurement types to display. The procurement type "make" has to be checked to have sub assemblies included. And, they have to be one of the product types selected to print as well.
Also, the sub assemblies have to be procurement type "make" in the item master file, otherwise they won't show.

1. What version are we talking about?
2. What sample report did you see?
3. MRP does explode all levels unless it is part of a Phantom and Explode Phantom's is unchecked.

Hi Cletis,
1.- Mas90 3.71
2.- Printed it from another customer that has the same version of Mas90 (3.71).
3.- Don't have phantom's

Please check the Revision levels.
If you have a bill with revision 000 and 001 and the demand is for revision 000 and the components you are looking for are on 001 they will not be on the report.

All revision levels are '000'
one thing that i noticed in the setup is the folowing:
Use sales kit processing is set to 'Y'
Should that be an 'N'... does it make a difference in MRP?

If you mean Sales Order Processing then that "Y" would have it look at sales orders.
When you run Generation, click on Standard Report. What is the Summary Level?
You can do the same from the reports menu. Some Summary Levels may skip some items.
You can also use the Inquiry to see exactly what has been generated that may not show on the report.
