When we create a new purchase order, the "confirm to" field is auto populating with the primary vendor contact from the AP vendor file. Can someone please tell me how to stop this.
Thank you,
Steph

You can remove the primary vendor contact then the confirm to field will be blank upon creating a new P/O.

Thank you Dawn, but we do not want to delete the primary contact in the vendor file. Is there any other way ?

The confirm to field does not populate in 4.4 like it does in 4.2.
At least I could not duplicate the it in 4.4.

"The confirm to field does not populate in 4.4 like it does in 4.2."
Is this true in the SO module too? In SO the comfirm to is populated with the Customer Primary Contact information. This has been a minor annoyance for us for quite some time.
I know I can just remove that field from the SO form, but we actually use it for other information we do want to print on the form. I have been going to create a user defined field for this info, but have never taken the time.

Sorry Joe. Unless there's some setting somewhere to turn it off, the primary contact still drops into the confirm to field in SO entry in v4.4.

Thanks Heather,
I will probably just remove it from the form then and create a user defined field for the information I need printed on the Sales Order.

In 4.x modules (4.1 and higher for S/O), you should be able to set the default value for a field using the Advanced Field Settings in Custom Office.
I haven't tried this for the confirm to field in S/O Entry, but it's worth a try.

I just tried to change the default value in the S/O Entry Confirm To field, and it reverts back to the primary contact person.

I've got a client that was just upgraded to 4.4 and they are complaing that it DOES NOT populate in 4.4 like it did previously! We're assuming its a bug at this point.
Just goes to prove that no matter what you do, some people will love it and others will hate it.
