I'm not sure if it's because we're on 4.4 now or what, but I am unable to import successfully into Physical Count Entry now.
I currently have three fields I'm importing: WarehouseCode, ItemCode, and QuantityCounted. The import passes successfully, and when I open the Physical Count, the amount imported does show up for the Quantity Counted. However, when the register is updated, the quantities are unchanged.
One thing I notice when looking at the Physical Count after the import is that the Quantity on Hand is changed to zero for all items. Is this part of the issue? If you bring up an item in Physical Count manually (without importing) it brings up the correct quantity for the warehouse.
As a test I also tried importing the ChangeQuantity field, but that brought nothing into Physical Count other than the part (no quantities). Help?

Sounds like you have the "Default Qty Counted to Qty On Hand" checkbox selected in Physical Count Worksheet. I know the import works, as a client is using it on 4.4 PU3.

I just checked the worksheet and that box is not checked. Any other ideas?

Also, it is not defaulting the quantity counted to the quantity on hand. What it is doing is defaulting the Quantity On Hand to zero in Physical Count Entry each time the import is done.

The problem ended up being simple--I needed to freeze inventory first!
