Receipt of Goods Not Updating PO

I've seen this 3 times now, but I can't figure out when/why it happens. We have a Standard PO, process Receipt of Goods, and everything updates correctly to IM and GL, but the PO isn't updated by the receipt. The receipt shows in Receipt History, but the items still show as open on the PO. The PO doesn't change to Backorder Status and there is nothing listed for Last Receipt Number/Date on the PO. It's not the entire receipt batch, just one PO in the batch that doesn't update correctly.
Has anyone seen this on 4.40.0.3? I really need to figure this out so we can prevent it from happening. Today's PO was 50 lines that I now have to update through DFDM. ![]()

Emily, no, I don't see any active issues with PO's not being updated by receipts. Was it all lines on the PO that didn't get updated, or a specific line/lines? Was it a receipt of goods with or without an invoice? Was the PO created in 4.40.0.0 or prior to 4.40.0.0? Were the lines in question all IM lines? We're the receipts fully or partially receiving the line (and if partially received, was a backordered qty entered or zeroed)?
Since your post indicates that you've seen this a few times, would it be possible for you to make a backup copy of your company prior to doing your receipt of goods update (Use Company Maintenance, new company, and choose Copy), so if it does happen again, we or your reseller can have a look at your data?

YES! Finally someone else. I have been fighting this since the 4.4 upgrade. Have this exact problem and can't narrow it down to a specific order type, vendor, etc... I manually have to go in to DFDM and fix the PO_Detail to the received QTY and remove the backorder QTY.

See the reply to Emily. If you are able to produce the problem and you have made a copy of your company prior to the update, support or your reseller should be able to diagnose the issue, and if necessary, report the issue.

Yeah, the problem there is we don't discover the missed QTY until invoicing goes to pay against that line and we have an invoice but the QTY isn't correct. This could be several weeks after the receipt.
Like today our AP person discovered 1 order out of hundreds. It was received in on 1/31. I guess I could go to the backups...

OK I went to a test system I have set up that had older data. I went to the PO that had issues from today. Received in the same line, processed the daily transaction register. The error didn't occur.
As these come up, I'll try to replicate the problem.

I believe this has something to do with another user accessing the PO at some point during the ROG process. My purchaser mentioned that she was in PO Entry for the affected PO, closed out, tried to go back in and then received the message indicating that there was an ROG in process for the PO (which was being entered by our warehouse manager). I have tried to duplicate the error by attempting to access the PO while it is in various stages of the ROG process, but I haven't been able to. Perhaps there is a certain point during the process where access to the PO or access to ROG is not being locked out if the PO/ROG is in use?
Was it all lines on the PO that didn't get updated, or a specific line/lines? All lines for this receipt were not updated. In addition, the header doesn't update with the ROG number, date and receipt amount, nor does the PO status change to BO.

I don't believe the BO quantities were updated for lines that were not received, but I'm not certain, since the issue was found later in the day, after a subsuequent receipt against the same PO had been processed (which updated the PO correctly).
Thanks for your concern in this issue. While it's not possible for us to backup our data prior to each receipt, if we have another instance of this and identify it right away, I will make a company copy immediately, pull the previous night's backup and open a case with Sage.

I will CONFIRM Emily's statment. This happens if you have a PO open that is in a ROG batch. SOmeone processes that batch while the PO Entry window is open.
Steps to replicate the issue (I was able to do this at will with any order):
Receive a PO# Line into a batch
Open that PO# In PO Entry (You will receive a warning that a ROG is in process for that PO# and everything is greyed out)
Complete the ROG Daily Transaction Registers
Close the PO Entry Window
Open the PO Entry window for example PO#
The Line that was processed in ROG is now backordered (if there are lines remaining), the QTY received is 0 even though the QTY was received.
This is MAS90 4.4.0.04

I had a feeling that it was something like this. While I can report the issue today, can one of you or your resellers report this issue asap? Issues coming in from customers directly carry a higher priority than those written internally. Thank you.
