Hello:
We've reformulated some products. These reformulated products contain the same name and unit description; however, their SKU numbers have changed.
I've renumber/merged data in inventory; however, I'm concerned when it comes to changing the unit price.
Will changing the unit price affect historical invoices? I'm worried that past due invoices on these reformulated products will also change--increasing or decreasing the amounts due depending on the price change before those invoices are paid.
No price change has been made--yet--but will so soon. Is this a valid concern? What's the best practice to avoid this confusion?
Any help/suggestions is appreciated!
DJ

No, changing Unit Prices won't have any impact on historical invoices. But for your own piece of mind you could certainly confirm that by doing a test in a Test company.
