Good Afternoon! I am hoping someone has a suggestion on how to handle this using the work order module.
We have parts that come back from customers that need reworked for various reasons so we receive them back in via the RMA module. How do you go about setting up a work order for this rework? The work around I have is to create a new part number for the rework part with a separate router and BOM utilizing the original part number. Create a work order for that new rework part number and track labor and materials against that work order, complete and close that work order. However, this is very cumbersome and time consuming to adjust the BOM and router each time something needs reworked. Is there a better way??
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
