S/O Credit for Damaged Inventory

Greetings,
Anyone know how to process a S/O product credit (in one step) to customer for an item NOT being returned to inventory (damaged)? We do not have RMA module and have to make Inventory adjustment each time.
I wish there was a check box to do this in the S/O credit screen.

We use misc item/charge codes.

Dump them into a separate warehouse. It won't alleviate the need for the inventory adjustment, but you won't have to do it immediately and it won't affect restocking.
