We've had several occasions when entering a sales order, it will pull up the billing address instead of the ship to address.  Is there a reason for this?  There is a ship to default address in the system, but it pulls up the billing address which is not even listed as a ship to location.

Jeanne, what version are you on?  The current version has a "Primary Ship to" in customer maintenance that is used to populate new sales orders.  Even if you have a ship to, or multiple ship to addresses, if this field is not populated, the sales order will default to the billing address.

Earlier versions did not have this feature and I don't know exactly when it was implemented.  It is in 4.3
