Need to import extra data (Option tab all categories with extra UDF fields for more categories) or replace current fields data (NEW Product Lines, Valuation, Weight, Volumn), Avg. cost, On Hand quantities with Alias Number in Inventory Master file. Any special tips for doing this since will need to use all data in Mas with other modules and fix all errors in the same time especially in Item master file.

Should be a relatively easy import. As for the OnHand quantities you cannot import this if the item is FIFO, Lot or Serial. You would run IMZBL1 which would correct this for you.

If you are setting up new Inventory items and new product lines, I would suggest :
-- Import the product lines into the Product Line file with all associated data for the defaults (i.e. Valuation, etc).
-- Import the new items using as many of the defaults from the Product Line that the item is assigned. Other data is imported from the import file.
-- Import the Alias Item Numbers into the the Item's Alias Item number file.
If the On-Hand quantities are wrong or not in the system because the items are new, I would suggest using Visual Integrator to import the On-Hand quantities into Inventory Physical Count Data Entry file. If I am not mistaken, you would have to have the actual item numbers and not the Alias to do it. Once imported, run the register and update.
I am not sure that Average Cost can be adjusted using Visual Integrator.
After all the importing is finished, rebuild the Sort Files which some recalculate quantities.
Hope that helps..

Kerry, I will test all VI import jobs first to FIX all current wrong data in items including cost issue. Physical count is must-to-do task before we can rely on the data. Lot of items are obsolete items and need to be removed after all data fixed or imported but will be hard since if the activities still in Mas. New items will be fine to me. Reassigning all new Product Lines with additional (UDF) categories from existing fields to provide useful analysis reports for management that is my goal.
