Is there a way to have a message pop up during SO Entry stating that an item is available in the main warehouse, if the second warehouse is choosen and the main warehouse has qty available?

I need both warehouses to be available during SO entry, and visible in Inventory Inquiry, but I need my sales people to sell out of the main warehouse first, and if nothing is available they choose the second warehouse.

All the defaults are set to the main warehouse.

This is for Mas90 ver 4.4

If you look above the Item Code for the Item Quantity Inquiry Button or right click the item it will bring up the Item Quantity in all warehouses.

The problem is they may have looked it up earlier in Inventory Inquiry and for some reason didn't notice it in the main warehouse, so when they do the order they override the main warehouse without looking again at the qty avail.

I would like for something to pop up stating the main warehouse has something available.

Sounds like an enhancement request. We would have to check the warehouses. If there are quantities in other warehouses than the one selected for the item then a warning message could pop up. You can ask a Master Developer or submit a request to Sage.

I believe a pre-validate event script on the warehouse field could do the same without envolving a master developer.

That's what I was hoping for.  We're on 4.05 and we will be upgrading to 4.4 within the next three weeks.
