IdeaScope: Changing the Face of Enhancemen t Requests
Do you have lots of ideas on how Sage could improve the software you use each day but don't know where to send them? Or does it seem that when you provide enhancement requests you aren't sure if they are getting to the right people or even being heard at all? Well that experience is about to change! IdeaScope is an interactive program which allows customers and partners to submit enhancement requests hassle-free via the web. In May 2009 IdeaScope will be available to Sage MAS customers and partners! You will first be able to access IdeaScope via the Sage MAS Online Community. And later this year, IdeaScope will be integrated directly into Sage MAS products, radically improving the ability for customers and partners to submit their requests and generate change!
This unique program is simple to use and completely automated. To submit an idea, you click on a link on the Sage website or within the Sage MAS product bringing up the IdeaScope form. Then you chose the product line and module, then key in a brief description of your enhancement idea. Quickly, the IdeaScope server analyzes the submission to determine if something similar has already been suggested. You are then offered a list of previously-submitted "matching" requests to choose from or to submit your own as a new, unique idea. IdeaScope will automatically update the request frequency each time. You are then sent an automated email, informing you of your request's status initially, and each time there is a status change.
On the Sage side, IdeaScope categorizes, prioritizes and catalogues the requests for easy searching and review. A key appraisal team (consisting of product management, product marketing and other key internal constituents) will periodically assess the top-requested enhancements, and create a priority list for our development team. Any time an enhancement request is included as an addition to a new Product Release, those who requested that enhancement will receive an automated email informing them of this news!
The product and development teams are very excited to launch this tool for customers and partners and look forward to the clarity and consistency it will bring to us. We anticipate much participation from our community and are eager to begin setting the expectations of our customers!
