Use Social Media to Educate Your Customers, Prospects

It wasn't too long ago getting content up on the web involved jumping through some hoops. Even just text and pretty pictures could prove to be a bit of a challenge. Mr Dylan said it right, "The times, they're a changin'..." and that is certainly the case with content creation and publication.

Take this video below. The folks at DeRosa Mangold Consulting put together a great "what's new" video for the paperless office functionality we rolled into Sage MAS 90 and 200 4.3

The video above was embedded into this page by simply copy/pasting some code from YouTube's site right into the editor I use for posting these articles. At no time did I have to break out my geek dictionary and figure out all the HTML backslash-this, href-that syntax. Instead a simple copy and paste did the trick.

Not only are you easily able to now watch this video. But so are DeRosa Mangold Consulting's existing customers and prospects. These quick tip videos build credibility with these audiences and demonstrate expertise. What's more, by posting content like these videos on YouTube, search engines will have a better time bringing prospects to DeRosa Mangold Consulting's site. Why? Because keywords on this YouTube page along with a hyperlink back to DeRosa Mangold Consulting's site aid the Google search algorthm in aligning a search request with a result.

So what are you waiting for? Get your content up on YouTube, Slideshare and as many of these "social sites" as possible and help drive folks back to your own practices.
