We are getting an error when we try and commit a shipment "Transaction date in a non existent inventory cal. period."  

We have not closed December in inventory yet as we are still processing some orders but we also have orders in January 2012.  Any suggestions?

One more note, the shipment and order are in January but if we change the shipment date to Dec 2011 we are able to commit it.

Does your inventory calendar work on a January to December calendar?

If so, you probably need to set up the next year's inventory calendar.

Inventory Management - Maintenance - IM Setup - Set Up IM Options

Choose the Miscellaneous Tab

Bottom right is Inventory Calendar
