Just grab the dark grey area next to the word filter. By that I mean bring the mouse over the dark grey area. Click and hold down (do not let up). Move the mouse (with the button still clicked down). This should make the filter move. Notice there are arrows now. Drag your mouse to where you want the filter window docked (over one of those arrows). Let up and you should be done.
If you can't figure it out it might be worth a few bucks to have your reseller show you how to do this.
