another weird issue i came across on it, if i input warehoue and item number in excel sheet, it says, 'Purchases cannot be blank' and as soon as i input buyer in excel sheet for the same item, it says 'buyer cannot be blank'
look like there is some kind of funny messages on it.
anybody have an idea?

Are you able to switch tabs during the import to put the buyer in? Also there is a utility to create inventory in
Inventory Management>Activites>Utilities. I used that to assign items to the warehouses.

Maintain Inventory is not supported properly by DataPorter. I have reported this issue to Sage. Instead we used the IM Import Utility under Activities.

I'm able to get around the "Purchases cannot be blank" error by changing the MetaData to the following:
![]()
It doesn't make sense, but at least it gets rid of the error.
However, I still have an issue because "Replenishment -> Purch Prod Line" defaults from the "Maintain Items" record and I want to import into the "Replenishment -> Warehouse" field (which can't be entered unless "Purch Prod Line" is blank). Is there a way to force DataPorter to make the "Purch Prod Line" field empty, effectively overriding the default from "Maintain Items"? I tried leaving it blank in the DataPorter spreadsheet, but that doesn't do anything.

Dataporter can only be used in screens/windows that do not have a grid or require a lookup. If you need to populate these additional fields, you need to use an import utility, or data migrator. This applies across the board, not just in Inventory Management.

Not sure what your comment has to do with the Maintain Inventory screen. DataPorter works fine, except for needing to populate an empty value in one of the fields.
