We using a standard cost valuation for our inventory items. We have over 2000 items that we purchase. Since a lot of our purchases are chemicals, we would like to rollup last costs to the material costs on a pre-defined basis without having to manually adjust each item. I don't want to import as that appears to create a new cost tier, when we should only have one tier per item with standard cost as the valuation.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Cindy,
If I am correctly understanding your need, this sounds like exactly what the e2b Cost Modeling add-on for MAS 500 was built to accomplish. This product allows you to utilize last cost, replacement cost, average, or standard as a basis to update your standard costs. It also allows you to export the informatoin to Excel, make the changes there and then import this information back into Cost Modeling. When you have completed your updates within Cost Modeling, you then have the ability to generate cost tier adjustments to update the cost tier information.
You can get more information on our website http://www.e2bsoft.com/e2bsoft500.asp

Thank you for the information, that does look like something that would help us out. I have contacted Shaun and will be forwarding the information to our cost accountant and CFO. Thanks!
