Automate IM utility from Command Line via Windows Scheduled Tasks?

Hey Folks,

18 Users / 45k Items

We are standard cost folks and the latest version of 4.4 requires you to change standard costs via a Inventory Management Utility (Standard Cost Adjustment Register / Update).

We can import into the change table all day...but everyone has to be out of the system to "post" the changes to Standard Cost.

I kick everyone out of the system after 60 minutes of inactivity and have multiple VI imports that run overnight.

Is there any way to automate the "Standard Cost Adjustment Register / Update" via command line similar to VI imports???

Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Thanks,

Kerry

Did you ever get a way to do this? I am trying to do this as well and have not found a solution.

I don't see it available in Task Scheduler and I don't see a business object for the update either.

I'm no BOI expert, but what about "IM_StandardCostAdjustReg_upd"? I'm still feeling my way through BOI, so I may be totally off base.

That does look promising. Now that I look at the list again it's right there.

Funny how that happens.

Yes that is the actual program name however when calling programs from a batch file, there must be an actual menu item associated with the task. The actual "update" portion of this does not have its own menu item. If I call the register program all it give me is the register and does not actualy do the posting.
