Business Alerts in MAS 4.5?

In the MAS 4.5 customer upgrade guide it says that Business Alerts Select has been retired as of 4.5.

 

We are using Business Alerts Professional in 4.3 to email invoices to our customers.

 

Is BA Select the same as BA Pro?

 

Do I have to find another solution to email invoices to customers or is it possible to use some form of Business Alerts in 4.5?

 

I looked for it on the MAS 4.5 install disk and didn't see anything regarding Business Alerts.

If you are just e-mailing invoices to customers via BA, then check out the paperless office features in v4.4 and v4.5.  This functionality is now "native" to MAS.  If you are using BA to monitor your DB and send e-mails when a parameter is met, then you might want to check out Knowledge Sync for sending alerts.  Much easier to use than BA.

 

BA Professional should still work in v4.5 also.

I have the BA Professional version 5.1 disk that shipped with my 4.4 upgrade. Should I just use that disk on my 4.5 install?

The compatibility matrix indicates that BA 5.1 will work, so I will just install that one.
