Is there a way to get sales order detail comments to show on a report if you filter by warehouse and product line?  The only way I've been able to get the comments to show is without filtering the report

You can't because the /C comment lines do not have a warehouse code (or a product line) associated with them.  You don't mention your version of MAS, but if it is 4.1 or higher, I'd suggest using the comment field associated with the item line, that way your comment field will be associated with a warehouse code & product line.

Within Sales Order entry & Sales Order invoice entry there's a field on the lines tab called "comment".  It's where you go to type in the comment information when you add a "/C" line.  Instead of using the mechanism of adding a seperate row with a "/C" comment, simply type the comment on the item line.

This was added on version 4.10 because you used to have to add comments seperately and customers would add item, comment, item, comment, item, comment etc. and then they would partially ship the order and the order of the comments would not work out well (the comment would not stay beneath the item like they expected).  By adding the ability to associate the comment directly to the item, this issue went away.

It's worth stating that the enhancement of adding a comment text field into the item detail line was a great solution to keep comments associated with product lines. It's made our life much easier with multi page orders and multi line back orders.  Thanks to SAGE for listening!

4.40 isn't out yet, and I haven't gotten the beta yet, but I would expect once the PO modules goes to the new framework comments on lines will be similar.

And Dawn is correct, with 4.4, the same comment functionality has been added to Purchase Order.
