I have this great Explorer view I created for vendor payments where I'm grouping by vendor and summing the check amount by vendor.  Then I collapse all groups and I hav this nice consolidated report.   I would like to print, export or something just the summary information.  Is there a way to do that?  What I ended up doing was exporting to Excel and then creating a pivot table which I wouldn't have to do if I could export or print just the summary.

Sounds like it would be easier to handle with Crystal Reports.  Is this not an option?

It is an option, but I would rather do it with an Explorer view since it already exists.  I have the Explorer view saved and I'm hiding the details and have this really pretty summary on screen and I just want to know if there is a way to print it or export it to Excel showing the summary only. 

What I see as the options right now is write a custom crystal report that can be printed, but being exported to Excel could be problematic as a summary only (I know it's possible, but I'm not very good with Crystal Reports) or the other option is to export the Explorer view to Excel then do a pivot to summarize the data (which is much faster for me than Crystal). 

I guess the answer is that the Explorer views can't be exported (or printed) as summary views only so if you need the data just the one time do a pivot table in Excel or if it's something that is needed repeatedly write a Crystal Report.

Not all end users are knowledgeable enough to use Crystal.

Using the Business Insights Explorer is a great tool for end users with minimal report writing knowledge.

An ability to export summary data instead of the detail would be a great thing!
